Basic Symbols You Need to Know

Symbol Meaning What It Does
—||— Capacitor Stores and releases electrical charge
—///— Resistor Limits current flow
—(((— Inductor/Coil Creates magnetic field, used in filters
—▶|— Diode Current flows one way only
—|◁— Transistor Amplifies or switches signals
⏚ Ground Reference point, return path

How to Read a Simple Circuit

  1. Start at the antenna input (left side of schematic)
  2. Follow the signal path through filters and amplifiers
  3. Signal reaches the speaker or transmitter output
  4. Power supply feeds everything from the bottom
