  • QUANSHENG UV-K1(8) or UV-K5(99) radio
  • USB programming cable (included)
  • CHIRP software (free: chirp.danplanet.com)

10 Steps to Program Your Radio

  1. Download CHIRP from chirp.danplanet.com
  2. Connect radio via USB cable, turn it on
  3. Click Radio → Download From Radio
  4. Select port (COM3 on Windows, /dev/ttyUSB0 on Mac)
  5. Choose model: UV-K5 or UV-K1
  6. Download current channels
  7. Import repeaters: Radio → Import → RepeaterBook
  8. Enter location, select bands
  9. Organize channels by dragging
  10. Upload: Radio → Upload To Radio

Troubleshooting

Radio not detected Check USB cable fully inserted
